The visit is part of a continuing work   scheduled by  the two cities – Perm and Tyumen  cooperation agreement. The mayors  of the  cities exchanged successful practices on  various issues of municipal management and implementing federal and city programs.

Within the framework of the visit, Mayor of Perm  joined  in a working meeting attended by  the Mayor of Tyumen Ruslan Kukharuk, his colleagues from Tyumen City Administration.

Eduard Sosnin shared with colleagues the experience of implementing the large-scale project «Green Ring»,  specific issues in developing and reconstruction of the  embankment development in three districts of Perm and a number of investment projects; the work of public transport was  also  discussed.

– Perm has successful practices that can be replicated. Cooperation between the cities is, in my view, one of the important components of our work. Each city has its own unique experience in certain areas, and we can share it with each other. We all have a common goal - to ensure the comfort of residents. I am convinced that we will  implement many new joint projects with Tyumen, - said Eduard Sosnin.

Eduard Sosnin and  Ruslan Kukharuk visited a number of urban facilities -  «Aivazovsky» and «European coast»  residential areas and  the park in the city center.  New Tyumen districts are being developed using  the principle of integrated development of territories - in this regard, Tyumen has accumulated a considerable experience. At the meeting the participants also discussed the  issues of urban environment improvement, construction of social infrastructure both within the framework of national projects and through  attracting private investments.

– Today I made a presentation on    Tyumen’s development and explained how the city infrastructure is formed, how business contributes to the formation of public spaces, how we deal with specific issues, for example  non-stationary trade facilities and some others.  I am sure that thanks to our  cooperation with Perm new projects will be implemented, which will create favorable conditions for the residents of our cities, - said the Mayor of Tyumen Ruslan Kukharuk.

The agreement on cooperation between the two cities was signed two years ago. Since then , a number of events have been held to exchange experience in key areas: construction and reconstruction of facilities for the 300th anniversary of Perm, public security organization, municipal service and personnel, archives,   support to  families of SMO members and others.
